Leticia is the dedicated flight nanny who travels with Fly Your Tail pets on eligible accompanied journeys. She is Spanish, has years of experience caring for animals and previously worked as a professional horse rider.
She speaks Spanish, English and Norwegian and is comfortable travelling with dogs and cats through airports, flights, hotels, trains and ground transfers.
We do not hand pets over to random third-party nannies. When a Fly Your Tail flight nanny service is booked, the accompanying person is known in advance and the journey is coordinated as one complete plan.
Breed, weight, measurements, origin, destination and preferred travel date.
We review airline, cabin, documentation and route requirements.
Flights, connections, trains, road transfers or overnight stays are coordinated where required.
Veterinary and travel paperwork is completed before departure.
Collection takes place at the agreed location.
Leticia accompanies the pet according to the confirmed itinerary.
Your pet is handed directly to you or the agreed receiving person.
Europe offers some excellent opportunities for accompanied pet travel, particularly when cabin travel can be combined with rail and road transport.
Direct cabin entry into Great Britain is generally not available for ordinary pet travel, so some accompanied journeys are planned through continental Europe first.
Depending on the case, the pet may fly with the nanny into an EU airport and then continue by train and approved road or cross-Channel service into the UK.
Both EU and UK entry requirements need to be considered when planning this type of route.
Some journeys require an overnight stay between flights or transport sectors.
When that happens, the nanny stays in a normal pet-friendly hotel with the pet. The pet is not placed into a pet hotel or handed to an unknown third party.
We plan food, water, toilet or litter needs and rest time around the journey.
The main advantage of a flight nanny is that the pet has a dedicated person responsible for them throughout the accompanied journey.
